Shrewsbury Classic Car Festival 2017

“There was a lot of choice and everyone seemed to have a really good time.”

Event organiser Ian Carley says: “It was the second year we have held this event. My dad, Norman, died two years ago and I wanted to raise something for the hospice and thank the people who cared for him while he was there. We had 74 vehicles last year which was really pleasing, but to get over 100 this year is fantastic. There were loads of people there and we ran out of cakes. People came from far and wide. Someone came from Twickenham in Middlesex, Chester, and the North Wales MG club have been.”

“A big thank you to Harry Roberts for his professional photos,
and the help and support of the following companies”

“All proceeds from this event will be going to
The Severn Hospice and Shropshire Mind.”

Shrewsbury Classic Car Festival money raised in 2016 was £1,200.29 and in 2017 £3,507.38 this was helped with match from Barclays bank of £1000.
We also held a music event in 2017 at Alberts Shed Shrewsbury which raised £424.35.
